Kerrie E. McNally

Ms. McNally is a Founding Partner of Adams Silva & McNally LLP, representing and advising school districts in labor and employment, governance, litigation, student discipline, Ed Tech, and special education. Her practice crosses the typical boundaries of practice groups, giving her broad experience working with school districts on employee discipline and student matters arising from the improper use of technology.

Ms. McNally has successfully represented school districts in teacher dismissal hearings, certificated layoff hearings, classified termination hearings, grievance arbitrations, and special education due process hearings. She has also successfully defended school district employment and special education actions in state and federal court, and brings extensive experience representing school districts before the California Department of Education, the Office for Civil Rights, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Ms. McNally is a skilled trainer and conducts workshops and training sessions for school district clients throughout Southern California, and has lectured on the role of general education teachers within the special education matrix at the University of La Verne’s College of Education and Organizational Leadership.

Before practicing law, Ms. McNally taught middle school science, math, Spanish, and physical education. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, cum laude, and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in school, she served as a law clerk for the University of San Diego’s Children’s Advocacy Institute and for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, where she worked in the Family Protection Division, and she was also a member of the University of San Diego Appellate Moot Court Board. Ms. McNally received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her California Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Chapman University.
