Special Education Training Series
Fall 2023 In this series, we will cover the assessment process starting from child find, to issuing the assessment plan, to preparing the assessment report. We will review all the legal requirements a school district must meet in both conducting the assessment and preparing the report. Lastly, we will discuss the importance of conducting legally compliant assessments and the consequences of failing to do so. School psychologists, special education teachers, special education services providers, and special education administrators are invited to learn how to identify all areas of suspected disability and offer legally compliant assessment plans, how to conduct comprehensive and legally compliant assessments, and prepare defensible assessment reports.
